Topic: Play in oil pump gear?

Ok just put my cb750k oil pump back together, And the outer gear seems loose. Is this normal?  Video hopefully works..

if i remember correctly yes it is normal. but will need somone else to confirm this

Hi.Assuming all parts have been installed correctly inside pump you are ok.The lateral movement shown in your video is normal.When installed in crankcase,you will notice that the crankcase controls the lateral movement of pump gear.           Rock On
