You would need to make a caliper hanger to fit anything else. So it gets to be a bigger job than
it is on many other bikes.
In the UK anything over 40 years old only needs insurance and Fuel.

even if you used a more modern caliper, you'd need to upgrade the rotor too.  these old rotors work decent at best, and the newer ones are lighter, floating and can shed heat a lot faster than the old ones.  also, the new ones are tougher and can withstand heat cycles better, meaning less fading...

what bike are you talking about?
are you looking for something that "bolts" on are something to fab?

most vintage rotors are much thicker then a modern rotor so a modern rotor needs a modern caliper.
also you would need to keep the brake ratio in a range so i would assume that you would need a new master

are you already running a twin disc front?
what makes you think you need more brakes?
are you running new pads, lines and rebuilt master?

i have access to a big machine shop in my college machine class.  currently i have no front brakes, my calipers totally seized solid. i plan on getting a master cylinder off of a newer sportbike, and now im thinking a rotor as well. imy goal is to have a newer and better brake set up on the front.

plan to do that on the stock forks?
nothing is "bolt on" and anything can be made to fit so its up to you
