Interesting Sale of H2 On eBay
« on: February 14, 2011, 07:08:32 PM »
Guys, I obviously have intrest in this auction, but I'm really surprised it's over $10,000 in less than 24 hours. I'm wondering where it will go.

I break even at $13,500 with nothing for labor.

Have you ever dealt at all with Rick Brett from England.Had the pleasure of running into him at his US base around Traverse City this summer and got quite a tour of his warehouse before shipping a container and a great personel stash of triples he had at his house.Nice guy.

Are you selling all of your bikes you've restored?  From your ebay description, I read you're restoring a Kwak Turbo.  You're really upping your game, that sounds like a rare one.

Hi, funny - I talked with Rick today. He has stayed at our home on his way through the US picking up bikes and we've shared rooms for years at Deals Gap. Yes, nice guy and helped with with a lot of those parts.

The 1985 Turbo is something I'm excited about. No, I'm only going to sell the H2 you see, my Nomad, and my 1973 TX650 Yamaha. I sold my R5C last Friday and the 1970 H1 sold Sunday - that's it. I have a 1968 CL450 with 1,300 miles that has to go in there and the turbo. I got carried away and found myself stacking them in my garage so tightly it was not fun anymore.

Regards, Gordon

Hey Gordon if you talk to Rick again sometime, ask him about the tall long haired Yank and his Son on the nice old Honda 750's that he pulled over and asked if we wanted to see a "few" jap bikes up there.Like I mentioned he was very gracious,we were a little worried at first though, getting tailgated by these(3) guys in a truck who jumped out with the "accent". in Cedar(the Warehouse town). One of the "blokes" says he has a sandcast, the whole crew was very cool, made our day and the whole Holiday up there special.Got a couple pics in here somewhere of Rick and crew if I can find them and of course a warehouse full of triples and other goodies  ;)   PS-Good luck on your 750. GOOD stuff always brings GOOD money-think you will do well--- Eric
