oh ya! that kz would not stop running!! 50psi in one cylinder and 130 psi in the other. two many problems to talk about but as my first bike i loved it!

that bent bike place is really cool. the guy that owns it has been there for i think 20+ years just collecting and selling. i bought a nice 4 -1 exhaust from him for $100. picked up a 650 cam too.

my KZ was a good bike, but parts were getting tough to get from Kawi, got to own a Honda for that! I'm going to check out that joint. I'm in the Beaches, not far.

Rosey Toes Motorcycles - Ted Rose
131 Wendell Ave
Toronto
416-241-2523  http://dontai.com/oldsite/roseytoes/

A tire change and balance - while you wait - $20.

Visited today. A small crowded and busy shop near 400/401. Although I dropped in without an appointment, Ted Rose did an excellent job removing my old and then installing my new tire while I watched and was entertained by the customers and all the activities going on. Total wait time only about 1/2 hour but even though the shop was busy Ted managed to check the bearings, grease the axle, broke the new tire down again to make sure that the bead was seated properly and made sure that the wheel ran true and was balanced to zero.

He's a fun, friendly guy and he gave me the impression of knowing his stuff about motorcycles. Been in business at this location for 18 years.

The house music is classical (CBC 2). There are about twenty bikes for sale at the side and he has a stock of used bike parts. He offered to let me look for the muffler that I need on another visit.

Recommend.

Flying Squirrel Motorcycles - Glen Morrison
388 Carlaw Ave
Toronto
416-889-8769  http://www.fsmotorcycle.com/

Good prices on Bridgestone tire and DID chain.

Visited today to pick up a new Bridgestone tire and DID chain that I had ordered.

I had a bit of trouble finding but Glen guided me in with a phone call. The address and actual location is on Carlaw but Google Maps shows him on Dickens St. This whole block is a huge old industrial building and Glen's entrance is marked with a sidewalk level sign that is difficult to see with a UPS truck parked in front.

Friendly guy with a room full to the ceiling with motorcycle stuff on the basement level of a huge old factory. Been at this for about five years. Glen worked at McBride (or maybe it was Cycleworld?) before they went bankrupt. He seems to know lots about motorcycle parts, not just Honda. Has much NOS (new old stock). Glen recommended me to Roseytoes.

His prices were good so I decided to try him out. Impressed with my first purchase. Recommend.

I've been dealing with Ted for close to a decade.  Yes, he is a good mechanic but you have to make sure and ask that he only does the work you ask for.  I've dropped off my bike there and he had taken the liberty of doing extra work that he deemed it needed.  So the final cost was twice as much.  I do a lot of work myself so when he did the work that I was going to do myself I was a little peeved.  He did drop the price $100 after I objected to the practice.  I've had some work done there that was very cheap and some work that I thought was a little steep.  Overall happy but cautious.  I would recommend it.  Great place to get a safety done as well.
