1971 cb 750 fork tube Length
« on: February 16, 2011, 05:46:27 AM »
I have a 1971 cb750 that I am restoring.  This bike was made into a chopper in the early 70's and the forks are extra long.  I am looking for the correct fork tube length for this bike. any help would be much appreciated.

The cycleX tubes will not fit a 71 (K1) bike. The pre-K2 bikes had completely different fork internals from the later ones.

Your best source for new tubes will be Franksmaintenance aka Frank's Forks aka Forking by Frank. They will have the stock lengths.

From the site: "There is no other after-market manufacturer of German, Spanish, or Japanese fork-tubes." I don't think they are lieing. I think everyone buys their tubes from Franks, incl CycleX. JMHO  OCICBW
