Loved the video! was really pissed that I couldn't be at Mosport to watch you ride BUT I did lean like a madman while riding along with your video. When that guy chopped your nose off in 5B on the 2nd last lap I was leaning so far over fell out of my chair and sustained a shoulder injury! Man that was hair raising stuff, great video!!

Yes I was happy to have dropped 3 seconds from last years best at 1:42.318. Set a new lap record in the process.

Hummm....1.5 seconds faster than the Cortina on the old track. 8) 8) 8)  Guess I'll have to pick up the pace next year. ;D

Won't be making the trip to PQ bw.  Skipped family stuff for Mosport, can't do it twice. :(  Rubber side down. ;)

One of my buds and myself have been discussing getting into some vintage bike racing. This thread just sealed the deal! I gotta go research whats happening in my area.

Awesome bike, great skills, phenomenal riding! Well done Sir!

Well the VRRA season is over and I'm not looking for any other races either at least for 2012. We had a thunderstorm roll through Saturday afternoon that eventually cancelled a few heat races including my P3Light class.

Otherwise we won the other Saturday heat race and both finals Sunday. I'm pretty proud of my little blue race bike, the thing ran like a raped ape all weekend. I set up with last years gearing which is a little short, but it launched hard (it was a struggle to keep the front wheel down) plus had great drive off the corners. With a little throttle modulation at the end of the straight it seemed I could fool the limiter and touch 12K rpm so the shorter gearing worked afterall.

The important thing to me is I'm improving my times returning to these tracks. In my mid production class I was lucky enough to set a new lap record at all four events this summer. One small step for man, one giant leap for a little blue race bike!  8)

I'll try to russle up a few minutes of video, but it won't be as much action as the last.

Well done Brent.   You've certainly set the bar high.

Based on your season's wins, and all those new lap records, you should be in the running for the club's #1 plate.  See you at the AGM.  I'll start training my hands for all the applauds. ;D ;D

Wanna see Brent's holeshot + wheelie?

VRRA 2012 Quebec GP P2H - MWP Heat

Don't bother watching past 45 seconds....he's gone. Wins, broken records, class champ, and he's not even 100% healthy. Not bad for an apple farmer. ;)

I'd like to see this guy on the drag strip!

4hundred4racer, congrats on your finish and thanks for sharing the video. I take it you are racing a '76 400/4. Got any details and photos you can direct me to?

Was that a 550 ahead of you in the race? You certainly were out braking him, he seems to be losing a lot of time in the corners.
The track had lots of patched areas.

Please don't read any more into this deal than my sharing race stories with the HiPo family. Tintop, I can guarantee the executive can see further than the end of their own noses.  ;D There is a boat load of fast guys who can ride circles around me. That doesn't change the fact that I'm having a ball.

Very nice season indeed Brent.

Thanks and you're welcome!, But sorry, no...I do have a CB400/4 in pieces(future race bike...someday...), but that bike I'm racing in the video is a friends lightly warmed over Yamaha XT500 single...making about 1/2 the hp Brent has...

Was that a 550 ahead of you in the race? You certainly were out braking him, he seems to be losing a lot of time in the corners.
The track had lots of patched areas.

The bike ahead of me in that race is an RD400. I get, and stay, ahead of him in the final on Sunday. :)
