Thanks RR but when I mentioned I was disappointed, it was only with the previous ignition. This change of ignition freed up not only some engine power but draws less current as well allowing more run time on a battery which is good running total loss.

Nice result 65,5 hp but torque is a little bit low.
Our engine  produces also a 65,5 hp and a torque of 47,1 and that with 500cc.
Soon we hope to have a engine with 71 hp , our friend was on the Dyno last saturday again with his new engine 500cc  after some valve problems , that engine already produce 71 hp.
Torque is 49,36.

Thanks Rene, the torque difference is in metric/vs foot/pounds and I'm not savvy enough to know the calculation.  ;D I'm pleased to finally develop the engine to a point that is closer to what you, turboguzzi & Colin have done. The actual numbers really aren't all that important, tapping all the power that should be available is.

Flattery will get you everywhere. ;) But I suspect that if you can keep it off the grass, not run out of gas, and..(OK, that's enough!) you'll be bringing home the hardware.

Have fun tomorrow on your practice day. Let me know how Allan makes out on his 350 twin #393. And please tell him he rides like a girl. ;)

All seems a bit unfair for the competition Brent. ;) Maybe you should spot everybody a 1/2 lap lead before you start. ;D

There are new bikes, new riders and new riders on old bikes this year! Even if the class hotshoe remains retired,  ::) this is a competitive class. Having more bikes on the grid will be great and any one of five guys can win, especially the previous poster.

Just got home a little while ago. perfect day for racing, riding, doing it in the woods...whoops.  :D  Anyway...Brent's bike is immaculate...people commented on how well prepared it was. Racing is interesting because you do more waiting than racing. After a couple of hours there Brent got on the grid. It was his first time at the track and starting procedures are different from track to track. He got caught, just a bit, by surprise with the green flag but still managed to be ahead of the pack into the first corner. He got passed by several riders who were very familiar with the track and settled into 3rd place. After a few laps it was 2 fellas out in front, Brent....and nobody else for miles. That is how it ended.
I have to say the bike sounded awesome. Not too loud.....just nice and tight with a good state of tune. Considering the size of the baffle hole I was expecting something very loud....funny. No more oil leaks since oringing the cylinders and that GSXR1100 ignition worked great (Turboguzzi's idea and a good one at that.). I took some pics and will load them later
All in all a good day for our friend(and his wife). 3rd at a new track in your first race is OK in my book.

It wasn't a Mid Ohio but there were several fast guys there. I talked about MO with Brent and his wife. Maybe. The bike is mint.

Thanks boys. Phone was going dead before. Last race was an over 50 deal, but don't be fooled, lots of fast folks. There were some smaller machines however.  Brian no other vrra people, too bad. There is a good sidecar contingent. Talked one team into coming to shanny in July.

I will say this...Brent's wife Deb said (while I was at lunch) an older gal (about 70 they said) saw my Hayabusa and was star struck with that! She didn't care about Brent's bike....she liked the Busa! Good taste! Damn...80 mph t 4,800RPM in 6th.....it red-lines at 11,000. I was downshifting on the way home and getting 140MPH. Easy. ;) ;D What a bike.
