Brilliant.. heres hoping you have many miles and smiles out of the old girl....do you have any plans yet for her? Be kind with oil changes and she will serve you well. am I allowed to comment on the seat?
In my own experience...
It wasn't a Previous Owner who didnt know what he was doing that messed up your bike, it was The Previous owners mate who THOUGHT that HE did.

Can't tell you how many seats, ape hangers and luggage racks I installed back in the 70's.  All the take offs usually went in the trash ??? Also, most of the take off stock exhaust usually were trashed after installing 4 into 1  :(  Nice bike and quick work...Larry

A step back to the 70's for sure. Titled too? Appears a nice find and 15,000 miles. You know we are all wondering how much??? Care to share. I agree to lose the seat, but it is your bike. The OEM seat is still available from Honda.

That seat and maybe even the bars might make a cool addition to someone's chopper project. Don't toss them in the trash!  I'm not a big chopper fan but that if that seat is in good shape it could really look good on the right bike.
