Here is the start of a six month project...
Picked up this 1971 CB750 for what seemed like a good price (a lot less than the seller was asking for) and it's been sitting outside until the weather warmed up long enough to start working on it.
Mechanically it's sound so it just needs a tune up, and to have a couple of broken parts swapped out. I've decided to go for some cosmetic changes in the short term, leaving engine retuning for later.
As I got it from the PO:
What I plan to change:
The paint job is rattle can red metal flake, just not my style.
The tank is hand indented and it shows, I have an old British tank to put on it:
The new tank is longer than the old tank I see myself needing a new seat:
And I'll be swapping out the exhaust.
Not a big project by any stretch but I'm a total noob so it's a good first step.
