It would be nice if you had 2 pairs of forks: RT & O.E. ....kind of before & after.
75' CB400F/'bunch o' parts' & 81' CB125S modded to a 'CB200S'
I love the small ones too !

I do...sort of... :)

There are 3 other insured cb550's in the shop, they all have stock front ends. I'm very curious to try one of them out sometime soon. The bikes themselves are quite different, but I'll get a pretty good idea of how far I've come, or what I've done right/wrong so far.

This thread has been great, lot's of very informed and helpfull members. Reading these two articles also helped a lot !!

I hate to rehash an old thread, but like another poster put up, I have the 550 forks with the center pin in the damper rod. I've already punched out the pin and from the looks of it, the top dome is one piece. In other words, it doesn't appear that the pin is holding two pieces of the rod together. Am I just overlooking something? I figure at this point I should be able to lathe away a small bit of the damper top to fit the emulator and call it good. Anyone else have better knowledge of what that pin is even for? Thanks!

Bump! Anybody have any clues as to what the roll pin is for?
