Scunny probably can't get onto the net as most of their coms are down in Christchurch, but we're thinking of you Larry. :)
I seriously think maybe they should demolish that city and move it somewhere safer, looks like quakes are gonna be part of their life forever. :(
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

I'm just watching the news, it's just terrible, my thoughts go out to all my Kiwi neighbours, and I hope all the Kiwi members of our little family  here are safe and well. Cheers, Terry. :'(
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Unbelievable, They have had several big aftershocks there since the other big one back in September and this one looks bad. I'm really hoping this turns and they get some peace, prayers from Denver brothers and sisters.

Best wishes from AR. I hope everyone on here and their families are safe. I got to spend some time in Christchurch the summer before last and it's a wonderful place. I hope it can get back to normal soon. Does anyone know if any of the uni buildings went down? My wife knows a lot of people at Canterbury.

Oh Man!  :o I just came up on this! I don't know how I missed this one. I'm praying that Scunny IS okay and also for the others there. I'm thinking Rick is right, shame they can't just "Move The Town". That's so terrible! Hope he can check in before too long and let us know.  :-\

There's still live people trapped in the fallen buildings and some are in cellphone contact with rescuers.
It's raining quite hard at my end of the country but still clear down South, hope it stays that way, can you imagine being trapped and watter running down on you uurghh!

Yeah I heard how bad this was last night! I didn't get the details but from what I did get, there was an old church whose steeple got taken down by this too. Very sad :-[
