Yamiya
« on: February 24, 2011, 07:29:38 PM »
Earlier today I was cruising through Ebay lookin' at the gas tanks available (not much of a selection at this time). Found me a real nice one early style.........only $1200!!!! Without even looking....I knew it had to be Yamiya and lo & behold...it was. I knew they had alot of cool stuff for our bikes and I also knew they wanted your first born for it!! I haven't priced anything through them in quite awhile so I decided to check out their Ebay store. Now if I had a K0-K1 that I wanted to freshen up I could get that tank for $1200......a nice replica ducktail seat for $1000......a cool replica yosh 4to1 would set me back $600.....a pair of black lettered badges for that beautiful tank could be had for $143.....nice fresh gauge faces for $220. WOW!!!!!.............$3163 and I would still have to get me some nice wheels,tires,etc.,etc. Man I love these bikes but I am a bit shy on the funds to make a real sweet one!! I could see putting the same amount of cash into one of these as going down to the HD dealer and pulling the trigger on a new ultra glide!!! Oh well......guess i'll have to settle with my 75K and do it piece by piece as I can afford.

yes the SOHC CB750 may be able to turn the phrase back on HD. "If you have to ask, you'll never understand" or something like pseudo-elitist like that.  ;D

Thats good to know Mick. I will get by with my slightly dented one for now but when the cash starts flowing again......A nice shiny tank is first on the list!!

Anyone ever notice that the Japanese site has a larger selection of parts as compared to the English site?

No matter how many times you paint over a shadow, it's still there.
