Cool video.  This is one reason I have my children out in the garage with me whenever working on my bike or car.  It’s easy to push buttons on a game controller, but will it teach them to replace a battery, change spark plugs, engine oil or rotate their tires?

Beautiful video, very very valid points.  Wish I had the chance to check out the shop before I left PA.

I was raised being told "you are better than that" when I said I wanted to be a mechanic.  It is the only thing I think my parents ever did wrong.  And it is only because our country keeps telling, EVERYONE that.  It is truly sad.  I am never happier than when I am wrenching and fabricating.  I pulled my 836cc motor out of the box it was in yesterday, I showed it to my friend and said, "to me that is more beautiful than any painting I've ever seen.

Cool Video! Yes, My son is 10, and I'm showing him how to change the oil in my van. It'll be a lost art. Thank God my dad showed me everything about well......everything!

I know how that guy feels, but this forum and others show that he is not totally right.  Look how many young people are on here that have learned and are in the process of learning this stuff. ;)

This is one of the best videos I have seen. It is true and to the point. The funny thing is it's not about motorcycles.

Oh and I sent this to my 26 year old son who has a screwdriver issue.

Good Call.

thats about 3 blocks from my house!

adam is a great guy, and that shop blew me away when i walked past it the first time. Our honda's are the newest bikes he will generally work on. He has his sidecar setup with a child seat for his kids...  what a cool dad to grow up with!
