Aussie Charity
« on: February 09, 2011, 03:50:40 AM »
Had a discussion at the last club meeting and the topic of charities came up.  Currently the club has a charity that we support while running rallies etc but the idea came up to change to a charity that was directly related to motorcycling.  Just thought I would ask if anyone had any ideas that may provide direct support to riders?  An idea was put up to put money towards a wing in a hospital that deals with motorcycle accidents but the members believe the money will still get diluted to tintops and footballers.  The other was to support a local lad that had some talent, I would prefer to go to grass roots, people just starting in the sport.  Any one have any ideas?

Is there a club in your area that holds race meetings - dirt, road etc - that has a junior program (there's one in my town, short circuit, motard etc) - you might be able to form an affiliation with them and sponsor some kids or donate to track upgrades etc.
Just an idea.
