Pick up a 75 CB360
« on: February 25, 2011, 07:57:40 AM »
Pick up a cool 1975 CB360 with tons of parts. Found it on Craigslist and it turns out the guys that sold it is practically my neighbor. He already did a lot of great work cleaning and polishing. Also came with a boat load of parts and a frame/motor (yes it's currently in a trashcan). Pretty ingenious if you ask me. Make moving to my house a breeze. Will be a fun summer project to finish. Will be a fun bike to cruise around town when it's done.

Nice find there. Man, that tank looks about mint on the pics. I had a few of the twin CM400's I restored and sold. They were fun to drive around the city and country roads. I am 6 foot tall and after a couple hours my legs got cramped. I could have put on some pegs or highway bars for my legs, but I wanted to keep it stock. Nice little runners those twins and super easy to work on.

I am 6'3" so I am not looking to take long trips on it either. I like what he stated with the font wheel. I will do the same with the back. He also rebuild the speedo/tach. They look brand new. When I am done it will be very clean and minimal.

Do the side covers look as good as that tank?

One does. The other had been painted another color and the guy I bought it from had stripped it. Just need to match the colors and will have two nice side covers.

Here is a buddie's coming together...it's actually a cj360...bit of an oddity with the tls front brake, a 5 speed box instead of the fabulous 6, and no electric start.
If it works good, it looks good...

Wow. That's awesome. I don't think will be that crazy when I am done but we'll see.
