Rider log and Godzilla
« on: February 26, 2011, 06:50:26 pm »
I don't know if you already had this in mind Jerry but I was just thinking about the log/banner thing.I was thinking the rider log should detail every rider and the exact route he took to participate in the ride. The banner I guess will just be signed by each participant. Another log should detail the exact route Godzilla takes and who hauled him on that route. .......just a thought.

And a great thought I might add. We'll get with MadMtn before he heads off and set up a format for the logs. Should be two 200 page log books I believe so I'm hoping there's plenty of room if we all keep our entries reasonable. One entry will entail all Godzilla miles and another all rider miles. Entire rider miles will be hard to track in the log books with mileage after leaving Godzilla however. Still hoping for a website that info like that can be recorded on.

You guys may want to PM or email Benjamin550 aka Kohl, who has volunteered to be webmaster, and let him know your ideas so that he may incorporate them into a site.

Of course there will be a lot of photos taken, but one thing we should strive to achieve is photos of Godzilla in every state/province.  Signs at border crossings are handy.  Just a thought.

Working with madmtnmotors on setting up the log books. We have 4 books each with 200 pages. We will probably send 2 along and have 2 backups. May devote as much as 1 page per rider or less for name, address, bike, route, miles with Godzilla, total miles ridden, notes and comments, etc. We will have a format that will need to be followed.

to maintain chronological photos of the relay, will there be a place to send them(webmaster - to posted in order) , or will it be understood that as soon as you finish your leg, you'll post them to a relay thread/online journal?

The plan has been to be able to do this with a website. In recently corresponding with member Benjamin550 (Kohl) he indicated he is still planning on this plus I do not have details from Motorcycle Classics about what we'll be able to do with them yet. I have an email out to both parties who hopefully will be communicating about working together on plans. Perhaps send an email or PM to Benjamin550 with any specific questions??

There's a story about our ride!  Also talk of following us with a blog & maybe some ride along portions.
I would guess print version will be next.  Your letter worked wonders, Jerry!  Congrats!

Check this topic:

Godzilla is all vinyl, the arms and legs articulate (i.e. can be torn assunder) while the head and tail are effectively a firm part of the torso.

Hey Freddy, long time no speak ;D Since I went onto days, I don't get on as much as I am kept on the go most of the time. When I worked regular nights, I had very little to do and was in synk with you guys over there, you kept me sane during the long nights. ::)
Glad to see you're still about and causing havock on these pages. :D :D :D

Regards Sam. ;)
