Newbie intro.
« on: February 27, 2011, 01:38:55 AM »
Hey, all,
I'm a new owner, not yet rider, of a 1978 CB750A and I'm having trouble finding anyone in the Central Kentucky area who can work on it.  I know nothing about internal combustion engines and even less about bikes, but want to learn.  My boyfriend finally got the bike to start last Fall, but it would sputter out.  He thinks the carbs need cleaning and is afraid to try it himself because he's never worked on a SOHC4.  If anyone can give me a lead or two, I'd be grateful.  Thanks!

First thing you should do is to go to the FAQ section and download a manual, read as many of the posts in the FAQ section as you can, then read some more.

Also make sure to use the search function as you have questions as it's probably been answered many times on here.  Of course if you can't figure it out with reading and searching, just ask.  We're always willing to help.

Welcome and good luck.

Welcome to the site!

Since you have not provided any information other than Central Kentucky I don't know where you are. We have WKY, NKY, EKY and Central. Then we have UK and U of L. Fill in some personal info or provide more details in your post and maybe I can help you but first you must answer this - Blue or Red?!
