Update on my tank
« on: February 28, 2011, 03:28:29 PM »
I'm a fool.
I accidentally knocked my tank off my work bench onto the concrete floor in the garage.
Please someone punch me.  I not only scratched it, but dented the front left corner, too.

Looking for a Tank for a CB550f 1976 not worried about paint just needs to not be dented.

Thanks.

PS I wanted to puke when it fell.  :'(

Paintless Dent Repair is a very likely repair! The "paintless" part is not your concern now  :(  but the dent will come out!  ;D
You could try it yourself seeing that you are resigned to buying another tank but I wouldn't reccomend it... "PDR" is tricky business and should only be attempted by professionals.

I feel better knowing I'm not the only one to do that.

Ketch, you can look for those "Paintless Dent" folks in the Yellow Pages or ask at a reputable [?] new or used car dealer. They use 'em all the time.

I've watched a good one work. (Some of 'em wont let anyone watch.)It is amazing what they can do.

Bad luck but it can be saved.
