Emgo Carburetor Synchronizer ??? Any reviews / comments?
« on: March 01, 2011, 05:32:39 AM »
Emgo Carb Sync is on sale at Bike Bandit
http://www.bikebandit.com/emgo-carburetor-synchronizer?WT.mc_id=1484958&CAWELAID=711058163

Anyone have any any insight / reviews?
How does it compare to the Morgan Carbtune (which I know is highly recommended but is more expensive).

Thanks!

i have one from years past. the needles bounce a lot unless you get dampers as the gauges arent oil filled. i highly recomend the morgan carbtune over these. they work and you can get pretty dam close if not right on. will just take a little more time.

That's almost $70.  I think I paid around $90 for my Morgan including shipping.  If you buy one, get the brass nipples with it though..

Did you buy direct form Morgan?

Yeah, right from them in the UK.  I got it in less than a week I think but with the new customs issues, it may take longer.  I bought float bowl gaskets from SCI about two weeks ago and still don't have them.  I think it was the 5's that fit hondas.  There was one (suzuki maybe?) that used a different size...  It was on their site somewhere which size fit what...

Re: the Morgan Carbtunes

Can someone post a link to the page with that info.  I looked and didn't see it.  I'm sure it's there... I'm just missing it.  ???

I paid $56 delivered from a supplier on EBAY for the same gauge. They are made by one supplier and different marketers put their names on them, like EMGO. Why pay twice as much for a Morgan if close is close enough? But hey some guys pay $200 for a simple set of open end wrenches from Snap-on or similar when craftsmen work just as good. Doesn't make your bike run better. But I am a weekend worrior and don't work on my bike for a living.
