Ditto.

If someone could PM me with a room number and visiting hours, I'd like to stop by and say hello.

I spoke with Randy on the phone this evening. He still has quite a bit of recovery ahead, but said he could tell he was making progress. He was able to walk 500 feet unassisted today, and is moving into more advanced rehab exercises. He gets out of the hospital tomorrow, and he was understandably happy about that. He'll continue with out-patient PT for a few more weeks. He expects to eventually be able to return to work and normal activities, but doesn't yet have a good idea how long that will take. He didn't admit to needing anything, but appreciates calls and would welcome visitors once he gets settled in at home.

Hey all,
Thanks for all the kind thoughts and prayers.  I'm home recovering slowly.  My eyesight has changed, so it's kinda hard to see my phone until I get my new glasses.  I have a few odd side effects like numb patches of skin.  I just noticed something weird today.  I now have a big bald spot on the left side of my head.  If that's the worst of it, I won't complain.

Welcome back randy. With all the visitors you had someone could have done that to your head. Maybe it will grow back.

I just found out the hair fell out because the X-ray beam was focused there for several hours.  Doc says it probably won't grow back.  Oh well, nothing to worry about.  I might just tell folks it's proof of alien abduction.

My son's DRZ 400 was stolen from his house in Pittsburg, KS last night.  Hopefully, the #$%*s will be prosecuted.

Glad you're back Randy! Bummer about your son's bike. Yeah, I hope they catch the creeps and throw the book at 'em. I hate thieves.
Weird about your hair. Did someone just forget and leave the X-ray machine running while they went to lunch? I'm no doctor, but I can't think of any good reason for such a prolonged X-ray exposure. Perhaps someone more medically-minded can enlighten us.
I hope your eyesight is improving, but in the meantime you might want to look into this new thing called a "computer" that's available with a "monitor" that lets you view the internet on a great big screen instead of a tiny phone.
Anyhow, best wishes for a continued recovery.

Jay

Howdy you all,
I guess they have a live x-ray thing that stays on during the operation. Mine took a long time due to the bleeding/complications.  I just found out some of the hair is growing back.  Eyesight is better. I feel a whole lot better now and will go back to work on Monday.  Police found my sons bike.

Merry Christmas to you too Randy.

I picked up another kz440 a month or two back, and have been slowly dicking with it. Hoping to have a "Scramble Lite" next year some weekend in June. Something similar to the Eureka/Jasper rides we've had previously.

First Post Of The Year!

Happy 2018. Hope all is well with everyone. Crazy busy but otherwise OK here. Good news is that I'm close to finishing the restoration of my '70 Cougar. That should free up some time and $$ for motorcycles in the coming year. I'm ready for that to be the case.

How about breakfast some Saturday morning in the near future?

Jay

Glad to hear. Cars are such a time consumer and $ too. Bikes are so much easier. I’m up for breakfast whenever you guys are. Be great to get together.
