Good news everyone!
I just talked Mac into clearing out allot of the old motors in the back room and some of the bikes behind the shop that are taking up space. We plan on letting them go for cheap since we are going to sell everything that doesn't get taken for metal. (I'm letting you guys know first for brownie points)

I know he's wanting to hold onto the CB750 stuff, so that's pretty much off for now.

Yes. If it's there, it's for sale. I'll try to keep him in this mindset, but crushing his dreams of transmuting these bikes into gold is rather difficult. Be prepared to haggle. Also bring machete.

I've poked around back there a bit. This is what I've found at a quick glance (I didn't stay long, there's lions and triers and bears and s**t back there):
74 CB550
82 Yamaha 920
77 XL350
A few single cylinder Yamaha 250 or something
71 SL350
Suzuki T350
There's quite a bit more but it's farther back.

We've also got some engine blocks and random parts inside and a trailer full of old Honda parts from when a shop closed.

I finally got my 750 moved to the shop.
Here are some pictures:

I know that the back wheel is too far left. I have a crappy picture in the slideshow (forgot to adjust shutter speed when taking the picture)

The frame above the headers has been cut and welded back so I know it's had something changed of fixed.
A few of things have been hacked off including the seat mounts.
I think the swing arm has been changed or at least extended.
The upper mounts for the rear shocks have been changed, they are a much larger bolt that they welded on.

I'll ask about the sl350 and cl350 stuff Tuesday.

Fixable but gonna need a lot of work. Hows the engine. That rear swingarm may be a dresda. Not sure but definately not stock cb750. If the frame is messed up see if your boss will give you one. Its all fixable though. I would strip it and start back together one piece at a time.

I agree, I'm going to do a rebuild. The engine needs carbs cleaned and has a crack where the chain ripped into the crank case. I think this happened because of the wheel being off center.

I like the swing arm, so if I can use it I will.

It has a KC 4 into 1 exhaust, if that means anything to anyone..

I just took apart a 1975 750K5 today. It wassn't too hard, just getting the engine out was a little tricky. I think it has the same case as mine, so if my patch doesn't hold I have something to use. The frame is in great shape too, so I might just use that. Could I just transfer the vin plates between the frames?

I've got plenty of parts to work with, so I should be able to do this fairly quickly...if my boss will let go of parts.

The busted case is common. If you can fix it go for it.If not I wocover pff.uld just find another engine. Could be thats a drag motor and it broke the chain. Id pull it and at least take off the valve Sometimes the easiest way to get that engine out is to put it on its side and pull the frame up off of it. Rc is russ collins. Thats probably some sort of drag racing swingarm.

Idk. The valve cover isnt modified? Kind of interesting. Needs to come out anyway. Id pull it and take a peek at the cam. The other oddity is its an f from what i can tell. Is it a 76??are the case numbers close to the frame numbers?

I "think" it's fixed. Aluminum tape and silicone...

I honestly think it's been set up for drag. No break lights, no front breaks, longer swing arm, only a tachometer.

At this point I'm not sure. I don't know what to look for on it. Tuesday I will get some better pictures of all of the bike.

That's how I got the motor out of the other 750 I worked on today.

The numbers match up with 75 SS According to this: http://www.hondachopper.com/engine/engine_timeline/timeline.html

But the odd thing is with the engine I pulled today. I pulled the engine out of a 1975 K5 and the numbers matched up with CB750E 250XXXX from my bike. (I don't remember the rest of the vin) From what I understand the 1975 K5 model should have CB750E 2372115-2428762 instead of 250XXXX. So maybe the one I worked on today had a F0 super sport engine in it...although it doesn't seem likely.

If you take off the valve cover take a pic of the cam gear from the side and the valve spring retainers. You may have some good parts there. Or you may have a thrashed motor. Hopefully its good.

Should I try to get her running then take her apart or the other way around? I really want to hear the engine before I do anything else.
