Picked up a CB500T and stripped it for parts, switched:

fuel tank
complete front end(down tubes, wheel, brake and fender) and rear shocks-lowered it 2"

in process of bobbing frame and mounting rear fender

I'll get pictures out soon

Just out of curiosity, in what context are you using the word BOBBER ? ???

Are you just cutting crap off??

(("rear shocks-lowered it 2' ")) bobbers dont have shocks.... Just my 2cents...

So you also might be saying there might be a BIG bin of parts in you garage soon...... Let us know...! ;D

Well technically i guess it will be more of a rat bobber. Parts from other bikes and some fab work. Need shocks for my bad back. The 500 front end lowered the front 2''also so it sits low enough now. Both fenders will be bobbed and the frame from the shock mounts back. Probably drag bars or beachcomber style. 0 degrees here so more planning than working lately.

There are no extra parts just future inventory.

You have a bad back and you are thinking about drag bars..? May have to rethink that choice, with the standard peg position it is not the best idea if your back gives you grief...Just saying

Ditto the stock ride position gives me issues some days and thats basically straight up.  Maybe euro superbike bars might be a better idea, lower by two inches.  but not that radically low
