HEY.I resemble that remark.I cant afford to "restore" so I make it my own and ride the sh*t out of it.Actually I Can now make my bike bone stock, but who would want that? ::)

The people that realize that Honda made a much better bike than 80% of the current owners can.

sadly the same applies to classic cars that have suffered ridiculous carb and ignition swaps, too big a cam, dash facia cutting etc.

Rat Bike

I have this piece of crap bike laying around the garage and don't know how to fix it correctly so I'll buy a can of flat black spray paint and paint everything black but I need to cut the mufflers off first so it is really loud because people need to hear me because that is really safe for me and it gets me noticed.

Helmit

Kevlar gloves that are worn to protect the hands, or a helment is a real helmet without lice.

Breaks

The process of breaking ones bones when they do not know how to use the brakes on their crotch rocket and cannot stop because they are riding a ton when a  little old lady has pulled out in front of them and the front locks up and they go flying over the bars.

Bobber

I cannot afford a Harley so I'll make my Japanese bike look like one.

Duel

Something dual poorly maintained carbs(crabs? but that is another definition) do to each other.  It is a contest to see which can leak the most.

Yahama

An ethnic greeting, I think it means hello Mother.

Susuki

Japanese for Susan

Harly Abelson

My Harley Davidson will not start.

Sorry for the out of alphabetical order to the SOHC Dickshunary but I did this free flow...Larry

I just changed the name of my build thread to the "Frankenbike anti cafe" - thanks 754

Whenever I sell anything SOHC on ebay I have "cafe racer" and "sandcast" in the title. Best catch words out there. (free beer, free sex.....)

So... I'm guilty of buying a couple (actually 5) salvaged bikes with the idea that I'll be able to make a couple of "cafe racers".

I was once proud of my aspiration but now I just feel ashamed to admit it.

99% of the bikes that I see "cafe styled" are pretty much what has already been described. Poor running stripped down junkers.

A year after I caught the bug I still haven't completed my first bike because I refuse to do things the quick/cheap/wrong way. I've been meticulously going over every part of all the motorcycles I've got throwing out what is not usable and planning builds on all of them. Anything worth doing is worth doing right.

I'm not sure what I'm going to call my bikes when they're done. But I don't know if it will be "cafe." maybe "espresso?" or maybe I won't call it anything special at all.

How does "my bike" sound?

It's not the style of bike that matters, or the name.  It's the workmanship.

If you want to stick with the "cafe" theme for the name, call it a quad-shot.

I believe I've driven all my bikes to one coffee shop or another.  So apparently, ALL my bikes are cafe style.  Who knew?

 CHOKEFUSION,
the time when your easy starting drill changes due to temperature or other factors.
ie, it used to start first or second kick, with throttle completly off, choke fully open. Now I am having chokefusion, and cant tell wether it needs full choke, or none at all.. or in between.

 DEGORP
The stock 750 was fine for a few months, then I got tired of the safety-nazi stickers. They had to come off. The tank warning decal, pipes sticker on swing am, the helmet lock stickers, the tire inflation sticker on back fender they all had to go. Next the signals come off and the writing on the MC lid is getting polished off.
 Then it will be degorped..

Open Book Tank
The modern crotch rocket tank type that has an amazing ability to shuck a pelvis open like a clam on impact.

Runinweniparqdit
use: in reference to a craigslisted bike
A bike with incredible potential, surely the angels sing its name and VIN. It was like new, no, better than new when parked an undisclosed number of years ago.  Sure there's some rat feces on every flat surface, insects in every dark crevice and the carb bowl contents resemble Thompson's water seal a heck of a lot more than actual fuel, but it's still a great bike. Just needs some work.  You know it's high quality: It was runinweniparqdit!
