Topic: is this plug supposed to come out?

How do I take this out? I'd like to clean that galley.

I am sure this had been asked before, but I am on my cell so it is hard to search.

I took it out easily on a CB550, just pull with a pliers.

O-ring holds it in it might be a little tight

So what keeps it from falling out?  Just friction?  I take it the line it blocks is a return line and not a feed line.

The passage is under pressure but the alternator cover is solid at the point it covers the plug and holds it in place.  The point of contact is just above a blind hole in in very bottom of the cover.

Try starting the engine with the alternator cover off. You'll see how it comes out. And have a big oily mess to clean up.
