350f fork spring install help

How do you keep the fork spring compressed to screw on the cap?

Shouldn't be all that hard if the forks are properly assembled and extended.  If you still can't get it, try this link for some tips:

Well just figured it out...the damping rod was not extended at all.  It was stuck at the bottom of the stroke.  All is good now.
