Finding Cheap Gas
« on: March 06, 2011, 08:12:59 am »
Are you concerned about finding cheap gas while on the relay?  GasBuddy.com has smart phone apps that will take your current location and show you the best prices near you.  Available for iPhone, Android and Windows phones.  If your phone is web-capable, they also have a web address for moble browsers.  The app is FREE even!  If you set up an account, they will even email you when gas in your home state is expected to increase.

Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.

Cheap gas = oxymoron.  I expect gas will be well over 4 bucks a gallon in central Nevada by the time the relay gets there.  It has gone up about 50 cents a gallon around here in the last month.

OK, OK - cheap is the wrong word!  How about:

"Saving a few pennies on gas"

Four dollars a gallon? Put some in the post will you? Here in England it is just over six pounds a gallon, which I work out at something like ten dollars a gallon. Ok so they're Imperial gallons which if I remember rightly is a bit bigger than a US one, but not two and a half times!
At 6 pounds a gallon it won't be long before it costs more than it weighs!

Great thread/post, I found out thru pure_gas that a station on the Indian Nation right around the corner from me has ethanol free gas, and about 20 cents cheaper than anyone else.

man and i was complaining about 3.40 a gal. and watch out for "ethanol free" gas, just because the pump doesnt say it has any in it doesnt mean its true. theres like 20+ states that dont require it on the pumpr or if its above a certain percentage
