CB 750 tank trim
« on: March 09, 2011, 02:01:52 AM »
I have imported two CB 750 K4 models from US, one in the colour Freedom Green, and one in Boss Maroon. Both are low mile bikes and in very good condition. I have remarked, the the colour on the lower tank trim list is slightly different in colour. The tank trim on the green bike is more like silver, on the maroon bike it is a bit more golden. Both with the black striping in center.

Is it just different in ageing, or did Honda make differnt colour on the trim to better match the colour on the tank?

Sounds like your maroon bike the trim has yellowed a bit from the UV rays of the sun which is very common. The lower tank trim on the 69 & 70 were solid silver. 72 - 76 it was silver with the black stripe. I have some in the bag I got from Honda. Pictures will give you the part number and a look at them. How about a pic of those bikes for us Lars. We are very visual here...  ;D
