Where are the frame numbers on a 73 CB500?

There is no tag on the neck; nor holes from rivets or marks where it once was......The bike is titled however I cant find any numbers stamped on the frame.

Aren't there any numbers stamped into the neck?  Honda only put numbers on the neck for the larger bikes. If no numbers, maybe the frame was changed...Larry

You should find the VIN stamped into the left side of the steering neck.

The tag is rivited on the right side of the neck on my 73 cb500, but I'm not the original owner
