Need photoshop help for insurance
« on: March 09, 2011, 10:22:47 AM »
I wonder if someone could "paint" the front fender for me.
To get the antique $100.00 insurance it needs to look a bit better ;)

How much better looking does it need to be? recreating the specular highlights might be a bit difficult. Lasso, piant bucket and heal brush can go a long way toward making the fender look better.

uhh...  for exposing yourself to possible fraud, especially since you've publicly admitted this beforehand, I think you should just go ahead and ACTUALLY paint the fender...

I dunno so much about unexpected wheelstands, but get in to photoshop for yourself, DIY.

It is fun and frustrating, but you can make things my like first project
'Reverend Al Sharptongue,'  Or 'Hollis the Clown.'

Other than that I'm no expert, but try these programs for yourself.

Hey, no worries.  I'm just guessing that insurance companies are probably not very forgiving about stuff like that, if they ever found out, even little things.  Kinda like the IRS...

He's in BC, not Ontario-oh!  They have Collector status plates that can be registered for use on more than one vehicle, with certain restrictions on vehicle age (over 25 years I believe).  They also have ICBC for insurance coverage - that's a province-run company that provides reasonable insurance for a collection, recognizing the fact that with only one plate you really are only riding one bike at a time.  Here in Ontario, I'm always inviting my trusted friends and younger son to try-out and use my "licenced" rides.  (And you know what happens with other "unlicenced" old Hondas in my collection. ;))

Not true. Each bike or car gets its own plate. Vehicle must be stock and have no rust, dents, chipped paint etc.
The only restriction on a bike is no ride to work and no ride to school.

A friend is painting it for me today ;D

Looks like BC may have changed to provide a separate plate for each "collector" vehicle.  However, if you check it out, they also have a collector multi-vehicle license that is available if you own several collector vehicles but drive only one at a time.  (Got that info off the ICBC site: http://www.icbc.com/cs/Satellite?c=ICBC_FAQ_C&cid=1225926288160&pagename=ICBC%2FICBC_FAQ_C%2Ficbc_FAQQuestion&proxied=true#1225926288160)

Thank you more than I can say HondanutRider. I owe you a beer and a pub lunch for sure if you ever get over this way.
I've obviously been getting the run around by my agent on this because I asked last week about this very thing!!!!!

I have contacted another agent given her the link you provided and asked her to look into it. 3 bikes, one plate always made sense to me, can't ride them all at once. ;D
