Emgo Air pods for CB550

Hello
I'm just finishing my CB550f and after rejetting I've purchased a set of 39mm Emgo air pods, the 2 in the center fit just fine but the 2 on the ends are too big and are pressed against the frame of the bike.
Does Emgo make a smaller filter that has a 39mm flange fit?
What other pods could I put on my bike?
What's the meaning of life?

They don't fit. Unipod foam filters fit. So does the stock airbox  ;)

Never jad emgo pods but my uni pods due the same thing. The uni are foam so they just squish a little bit. Unless its gonna crack the rubber or seperate the element from the rubber base.
Did you get the cones ones?

i might catch heat for this, but i took 2 filters, some good tin snips and cut about a 1/2" off the top. cleaned all the excess out of the cap, filled it with epoxy and stuck it back on. i did not feel any difference, but from what i understand this could mess with the flow characteristics even more than the pods themselves. but again, my bike seems to run fine...

I just ordered 4 pods for my F1 from Dynoman and received 2 pods that were 3.25" and two that were 3.5" high.  Now they say they are out of stock for another 30 days.  You don't think they were trying to unload the last of two pods as a set of four, do you? knaw.

You can get K&N that fit properly, shorter filters, 'fun' to jet

550 should take 35mm  an from tip of cone to tip of rubber booty should measure 2 1/2 in so they dont rub on frame, find those ones a smashed outer pod filter looks like crap, pk22's for uni puck filters an find the shortest in legnth

Don't try to make the Emgos fit.  They are cheap and will separate behind the mounting flange.  They will spin and be loose on the maifold part of the filter.

Don't ask me how I know.
