Bookmark this site as it's a very handy cross reference for: "What fits What"
http://www.motogrid.com/pages/parts/viewbybrand/7/honda.aspx

If you have a '77 CB550 F model, there is only one correct frame:

50100-390-780B  CB550F A (77) MOTORCYCLE, JPN, VIN# CB550F-2100001 TO CB550F-2114871 Assembly: FRAME FRAME *NH1* (BLACK) (SKU: 50100-390-780B) 1 $1,881.70

If you have a '77 CB550 K model, a '78 frame also has the same part number:

50100-404-670ZA  CB550K A (77) MOTORCYCLE, JPN, VIN# CB550K-2000007 TO CB550K-2015308 Assembly: FRAME FRAME *NH1* (BLACK) (SKU: 50100-404-670ZA) 1 $1,881.70

50100-404-670ZA  CB550K A (78) MOTORCYCLE, JPN, VIN# CB550K-2100001 TO CB550K-2122082
Assembly: FRAME FRAME *NH1* (BLACK) (SKU: 50100-404-670ZA) 1 $1,881.70
