Does anyone know where I can purchase a new battery for a 1975 Honda 200T?

You best bet is to find the size of battery you need and the configuration and call around for an equivalent. Small bikes like that do not get much outside support. Maybe check out the batteries for a honda rebel. they are like 10 ah and relatively small.

So basically what you are saying is that no one carries batteries for these old bikes? So then what do people do? Just use ANY battery that fits?

yup that about it. Batteries do not change much over time. You do not need an EXACT replacement. It just needs to be relatively the same. You want to try and get the same amp hours and of course the correct voltage. But the size does not have to be the exact same and the terminals can be different. I did that with my 750 for a while and it was fine. You just dont want too big of a battery in size.

When I know the specifics of the battery I need, the 1st place I head to is Wal Mart.
They carry batteries for motorcycles and various other applications.    Worked for me.
I've also checked out web sites of the brands of motorcycle batteries and some have charts.

I went to wallmart, they have a inventory computer, type in make model year and it tells you what battery you need, and you wont get ripped off at the dealer.

That's why I mentioned it earlier. That's where I go for mine and no trouble so far.
Now, I have some needs that aren't in their computer anymore but, I've got a good idea
what other bike have the similar requirements and I go with that. If what you're looking for
isn't there, if you can get pull up the battery that you need, on the site duster mentioned,
there should be a conversion chart to help you. I don't know of one right off though. If
someone doesn't find one before me, I'll let you know what I find. I know my 80' CB750K
isn't listed at Wal Mart any more but, I already knew what I needed on that and fortunate for
me, several of my bikes use the same battery. I know that the CB/CL450, CB400F, CB500four
& CB550four all use the same one. SO, good luck with your needs and keep that bike going.

Also try Batteries Plus if you have them in your area.  Batteries for everything from camcorders to cell phones to motorcycles.  The last two for the 750 were purchased there and have performed fairly well.  They also carry gel type (Xtreme brand or somesuch) for extra $$ but I haven't tried one.

I love the Batteries Plus comment, actually used to work for them.  The Xtreme batteries they carry are actually made by B&B battery, one of the larger SLA battery manufacturers and considered on the same plane as Yuasa in that field.  I've had no problem with them, and they hold up great as long as you take care of them.  As for the AGM batteries, its just a matter of preference, if you want to monitor your fluid levels or not, kind of if you buy a no maitenence car battery over a standard.  Cranking and AH are the same.  Back on topic, more then likely Batteries Plus has it, call 800-MR-START to find the closest to your area.
