I'm one of the folks who made gauge faces, and I don't want to sound rude here... But it's a lot of friggin work. The proper programs needed cost more than most people initially pay for their bikes. Then there is the actual design work, takes me 2-3 hours for a set (I'm slow though) that's for "aftermarket". I couldn't even imagine making a stock gauge face as the font would have to be designed from scratch (it's not a standard font, or even close to one) then there is also the fact that Honda had a bunch of different face plates. I'm up to 5 or 6 sets of gauges now. Then there is printing, which must be done on special vinyl in order to hold up against the elements. I pay $13 per sq. Foot, which yields about 2 sets.
I guess what I'm trying to say here, is $20-$25 for a set is pretty damn fair on the consumer end. I think his user name is "lecram" or something close, he is making killer faceplates for a steal! I might be able to help you, but I can't undermine folks that charge for this service, so there would be a fee, smaller if I already have a template...
