New season, new parts, new questions. 77 cb750f2

Here is the current setup I'm running with-

A few things are going to need to change though. The seat pan is cracked badly and needs to go. I'm thinking of just ditching the rear cowl and going with something like this..

I'm wondering what the experience is with these specific seats if any (i did search this hondaclassic31 on the forums and there is a little non-specific info). Mainly I want to know if on the Supersport if you use this seat without a cowl will it cover all the way back over the frame? Also.. is it sturdy? Function well with the stock seat lock and hinge? Any other seat options that work well?

I'm also looking at going batteryless and cleaning out the "triangle". CycleX has a charging system that purports to work without needing a charge on the... stator? and hence can run a kick only operation. Does anyone have any experience with this?

I am debating a pod conversion from the stock airbox as well. I havent done this yet because i hear it sacrifices performance but honestly it would just be nice to not have a big airbox in there when i need to poke around at stuff. Does anyone recommend any particular pod setup that works better or at least equal in terms of reliability and performance as the stocker?

This bike is my primary mode of transportation in the summer so I'm really looking towards making some modifications that will simplify things, look nice and work everyday all day for a season. This bike ran well last summer pretty much everyday when i worked out the kinks so I don't think it's too much to ask. I appreciate any advice!
