Here's the EMGO Viper fairing I had on my 750 before I sold it.  I'm planning on adding the same to my 550 after the bars are changed.  I like how it hides the gauges and takes the wind off your chest at highway speeds.  Cheap and easy to install.

I miss this bike  :'(

Nice OWD. I like the Viper and it certainly seems like it would be pretty easy to mount up, but it seems like it sits too high for my tastes. Thumbs up none the less, looks really good on your bike

Yeah, visually I wished it could be lower and still be effective.  I experimented with setting the headlight bucket and fairing lower, but then the wind protection became nil.  This was the compromise between low and looking good (ineffective), and high and offering full wind protection (ugly).  If it was all the way at the bottom, you could tilt the fairing and headlight downward to increase the wind deflection, but then the headlight becomes worthless as it's pointing right at the ground in front of the front tire.

Very nice Johnny. Do you ever take it over to the annual Mods vs Rockers at Delilah's on Lincoln Ave?

Not yet. The build was just finished last month. My Lambretta won best vintage scooter a couple of years ago. I'll definitely bring it this year.

I wouldnt mind something like this one

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260751085621&crlp=1_263602_304652&ff4=263602_304652&viewitem=&guid=12fe6f6c12e0a02652943d14fff6f4d7&hlp=false&rvr_id=218446571097&ua=%3F*S%3F&itemid=260751085621

That first one looks pretty good as well, but a bit overpriced.

How does the viper mount to the bike? I need something for the highway that is more minimal than the vetter I took off.

There are two steel angled brackets that slide between the headlight mounting bolts and the headlight bucket.  Easy to take off and put back on.  On my 750 though I had to move my front signals, which was more of a pain

It's not RvsM, but the Ton Up Club Chicago is having an event at Ace Motorcycles May 7th.

It's a clear acrylic custom piece from builder and forum member Godffery. You'd have to contact him for availability and pricing.

The stock mounting brackets are terrible. Godffery fabricated new mounts using turn signal stems. MUCH sturdier. I don't do too much highway riding myself so I'm not sure how well this fairing will hold up at high speeds. But it LOOKS cool. ;D

Dude, your bike is the $h*t!  Just went through your build thread and I wish I had Godffery's capabilities!

I've looked at that National Cycle flyscreen WAY more than I care to think about. Really love the look by itself, but I don't think it completely covers the guages, and that's what I'm really shooting for.... Like these but for a 7" headlight
