gas problems

I have a problem getting my 92GS 500e started It sat all winter.Took the airbox and carbs off. Cleaned the carbs without much disassembling.(took the bowls off) and replaced a choke cable that was seized up. Put it back together and now I can't get it to fire up. Took the spark plugs out to see if they where still good. Yep still good. But not sure about the gas I think I'm not getting gas to the engine any easy way to check this? Also anywhere I can get a manual for this bike would be great help thanks in advance.

Not familiar with that bike but is the petcock vaccum operated or any type of fuel pump. Might want to double check the plumbing. If it is possible to open a bowl drain you can see how much gas come out after cranking to see if it is getting fuel.Check plugs to make sure they are getting gas and check for spark while they are out.

yes it does have a vacuum line on it and I will check the lines tonight. thanks

The petcock may have a "prime" position to bypass the diaphragm, which will allow the float bowls to fill.

I always found with these when left for a while that if the battery was not 110% they just wont start, try using jump leads from a bigger (car) battery
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

Remember "Its always in the last place you look" COURSE IT IS YOU STOP LOOKIN THEN!

With a "no start", shouldn't the spark plugs get wet with fuel - IF it IS getting fuel?
