Look what I rescued...
« on: March 17, 2011, 05:57:07 PM »
I found her on craigslist a few weeks back... She's obviously been abused. She was wearing the worst paint job I've ever seen (I've actually seen worse on this forum but I'm not naming names) and had a MEXICAN PONCHO on a board for a seat. I snatched her up from the neglectful owner (with questionable taste) along with another sad bike that is sadly beyond repair and has been relegated to "parts bike". But now she's in good hands and I'm going to periodically post pics of her transformation

It took me a while to sort out the gas tank due to other obligations, and I just got the carbs cleaned professionally and I've re-sync'd em. Now she purrs like a kitten.... With the choke on of course which means she's running lean. I'm going to sort that out, I've got a couple more turns left on the pilot screws before they fall out completely, and I'll post again.

When I first looked at it I thought it was a fake paintjob, maybe its supposed to make it look fast, try sitting on it and go swhooosh, I think it may justify it.

Please tell me you shot the PO! :D
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!
