'80 CB900C Wiring dillema
« on: March 17, 2011, 08:14:21 AM »
I recently found a parked CB900C on Craigslist and picked it up for $700, I'm in the process of restoring it. Put an original headlight/turn signal on in place of the hondaline fairing, however, I can't get the tail lights to turn on. The brake lights are working fine, and I got all the other lights to work as they should, just the tail light/plate bulb isn't turning on with the bike. According to the clymers manual I am led to believe that the turn-on for the tail light is a brown wire going all the way up the bike. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with problems like this on any CB bike and what to look for.

Thanks

Yes, brown is the tl on all Hondas, check for voltage at the tl connection.   If you have 12v it is bulb or possbily a bad socket. If no 12v the brown wire at the old fairing connections could be bad...Larry
