Intalling new seat hinges
« on: March 20, 2011, 01:32:21 PM »
Hey everyone,

I'm looking at purchasing a brand new seat for my 750K3. The seat will come with rubbers and I already have a set of hinges. My question is: how do I get the bolts into the seat pan? Any advice would help.

Thanks

Seats come w/ threaded holes for the hinges, you'll need 4 short 10mm bolts, 2 hinge bolts and 2 cinch pins (otherwise you'll lose the hinge bolts to vibration after a ride; been there, done that). Tip: Just hand-tighten the bolts when installing hinges. After hinges are in place, tighten the bolts. Makes hinge installation much easier. And you can substitute common machine screws if you don't have any hinge bolts handy.
