I made a thread earlier, went to change the title and accidentally moved it to FAQ.   :-[

Here's where I'm at:  I've drilled out the stakes in all 4 holes down a little past 1/8 inch, I've made my tool out of a 4ft piece of steel and 2 sets of nuts/bolts, I've sprayed it with PB blaster, and applied my tool so hard that it bent and warped.  I tried beating it with a punch and hammer, but no luck.  I tried giving the local dealership a call, but I highly doubt they'll have any interest in working on my hunkajunk.   >:(  WHAT DO I DO??  I'm about to cut the damn thing off with a dremel and just try to procure another one...

Please help, I'm at wit's end.

Should have mentioned that; yes lefty-tighty, righty loosey.

A quick look at how hard it would be to get another one of these quickly discouraged the dremel action.   ::)

OK, so I'm a lousy mechanic.  I didn't have a BFH, so I went out and got one.  Wouldn't you know it: a REAL BFH and a good set of punches actually got it moving?  Now I just have to get these damn bearings out...   ::)

THE RETAINER IS REVERSE THREAD, YOUR GONNA CHEW UP THE RETAINER OR DESTROY IT. ALL YEARS OF 500-550 USED THE SAME REAR HUB ASSLY. USE A SMALL DRILL TO RELIEVE THE FOUR DIMPLED IMPRESSIONS, WARM THE AREA WITH A HEAT GUN OR PROPANE TORCH TO LOOSEN THE LOCKTITE THATS TYPICALLY THERE. THEN TURN THE RETAINER CLOCKWISE TO LOOSEN. USE A PUNCH AND A BALLPEEN HAMMER. THE LOCAL DEALER MAY STILL BE ABLE TO ORDER THE OEM TOOL, BUT ITS DOUBTFULL.

Thanks, but as previously stated in my last post I was able to get it out.  Again, I knew it was reverse thread.  All I needed to get it out was a larger hammer since I had already drilled out the dimples.

To get the bearings out, you should be able to slide a punch (aka drift) through the axle hole to the back side of the old bearing.  Pick up you new best friend the BFH.  You'll know what to do.
Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.

You can also make your own bearing extractor as explained in this How-To from our friends at the Gold Wing Docs forum.

if your going to wack them out try and get the smaller bearing out first for there is a bearing spacer in the larger bearing which will get damaged if you go at with your big hammer and punch.
the 5/8" expandable blind anchor bolt seems like the best option.
