crankshaft bearings needed!
« on: July 28, 2013, 06:47:07 PM »
So looks like both of my motor builds are stuck.

I need some main bearings and maybe a set of rod bearings but they all seem to be NLA.

Does anyone have a source that has these in stock?  I have ordered from a couple online places only to get the order cancelled two days later.

I recently ordered a full set of main bearings from Service Honda, no problems

I ordered some bearings from Bike Bandit and received them in less than a week (shipping to Hawaii).

service honda is showing no cb550 or cb650 main bearings (NLA)

no dice with bike bandit (NLA) on the same models.

Yamiya is showing all sizes still.  I was going to order up a new plate for my dummy lights so maybe I am doing a full set of bearings form them.

their 750 shells should work on a 550/650 correct?

Many of us have odd lots of extra shells. I tried to start a "market" where these could be indexed but found no takers.

Which ones (colors) do you need.?

lemme dig up my paperwork I had laid out....tough parts is one of my cranks and case sets is across town getting the VFR flywheel fitted.  I was hoping to maybe get at least one of each (I have two pairs of shells here so should only need the other two for plasti-gauging out with.

To be honest after two trys at getting bearings and having orders cancelled I really lost momentum on my build....that and waiting on the flywheel fitting and then blowing a big hole in my CB650 cases (tried to remove an oil galley plug to have ti split and blow out the oil galley wall)

750 shells will not work in a 500

DSS now have a store in the US. They're showing some brown & green con rod bearings & some green mains. Why not contact them? They may be able to source what you need.
