Hipster fashion question
« on: March 20, 2011, 07:55:29 PM »
I live in a college town so the hipster look is everywhere. I was walking past a group of hipster guys while shopping, and it hit me. These guys have almost no muscle mass at all. No hipster guys has, that I've seen have body fat, or muscle definition? How do they stay so small and have no muscle tone or mass?
Inquiring minds want to know!

Those super-thin guys have always existed.  It's just that a popular fashion finally came around that allows them to be proud of their waify physique and encourages them to show it off.  They were always there, either hiding in basements or under baggy clothes, but now the "ex-girlfriend" jeans make them much easier to spot.

Drugs, ADHD medicine, Drugs, throwing up what they ate and yea, they were hidden behind clothes that you thought were baggy but were actually normal sizes.

ADHD medication will dramatically curb the persons appetite that has ADHD.  I do not know what happens with someone that takes it that does not have ADHD other than be speeded out.  You would also be surprised at how many kids are diagnosed with ADHD nowadays.

I can forgive the "hipsters" what I can't stand is the sight of someone's silk boxers sticking out of a pair of oversized pants that need a belt! :D
I sooooo want that fashion trend to go away. >:(
What's next for fashion, flares, bell bottoms.....oh yeah pleeaazzz bring back hot pants but only for the girls. ;)
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

Hot pants, daisy dukes...yea, that would work...I might even let the spandex come back for a short bit.

I will never forget the redhead that on the back of my 400-4 while I faced backwards.  She had red spandex on and it was split a bit on the bottom.  Yes, she was a natural redhead.   ::)

Ahhh...nothing shows your age like questioning the youth 8) Remember when could by a candy bar for nickle? lol I kinda hate that this "look" is in tho. I've always been a skinny guy, and now i just look like a "hipster" to most people, but oh well. I'm most likely judging them by how they look too. Good times.

PBR must not have any calories, and they must just be poor vegans which means they're starving. I get a good laugh watching them ride their "fixies" around our hilly campus though. I give them props for making it around with only one gear, but in the same breath call them stupid because the bike came with 18+.

I too have belonged to "subcultures" where we expresssed our individuality be dressing like each other. Usually the style of clothing, and hair set up the uniform. In this case it seems to be a physical characteristic. When it hit me that all the hipster guys in Kroger had the same build it floored me. Usually there is some physical variance within a group.

There's a junk gesture, that marks the junkie like the limp wrist marks the fag. The hand swings out from the elbow stiff-fingered  palm up.

Not a whole lot to the video, but   Gus Van Sant is definitely worthy of the  guitar list.
