So can you do this?   ;D

There's a junk gesture, that marks the junkie like the limp wrist marks the fag. The hand swings out from the elbow stiff-fingered  palm up
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

If this is just  an act of waking up  out of a drug induced stupor, it's a good one. Iggys are everywhere, but more in Seattle as far as the places I've been long enough to tell who's hanging out.

I think only skinny people are allowed to be hipsters. Could you imagine a fat kid in skinny jeans.. blech.

I guess I have seen a few, but not many as Austin and San Marcos are pretty healthy overall.

It is a bit cool to be skinny though, more clothes fit me off the shelf and I like it a lot better than when I was in high school and the fad was huge pants and shirts with brand names all over them. I am slightly more accepted at my biweekly appearance at the bar.

portland is a hotbed of hipsterism,
i suspect that the contemporary hipster movement was started in portland sometime in the mid 90's,
i would bet that we have more fixed gear track bikes and dudes wearing skinny jeans per capita than any other city in the states (the world?)

Hipterism was alive and well in Austin in the mid 90's, too.  I think, like a lot of "counterculture" trends, it was nurtured in a few different places simultaneously, each area with it's own slightly different version.  Now, years later as it's become much more widespread, the fashion has become more homogenized so that you can find the same kind of hipster in just about any city in the country now.

I used to order t-shirts from an online company, but all the artwork looks the same now and apparently you need to have a beard to order from them now.

Although I'm not exactly sure what you'd want to do with one once you've caught it. ;D
