Vintage Headers
« on: March 21, 2011, 08:01:13 AM »
Has anybody collected and posted a thread of headers with the names of manufacturers?
I saw a nice mag wheel thread last year and was wondering if anyone has done the same with headers and pipes?
Maybe my search skills are rusty but I couldn't find one.

Thanks,
Bill

Thanks.

That is a good start. I think I have to go take a few pics and get this started. Problem is I have no idea who made 1/2 the headers I have. Hopefully as we post some pics the names will start comming out.

I have a set of the short Kooks mounted up on a bike. They are the 1-4 , 2-3 type of a cross over. For their size they actually have a pretty good baffle in them and are not as loud as they look. Pretty light weight also.

The one with the rusted hole looks like a Yoshi handbent... RR

I agree on the Yosh part but I don't think it is a hand bent as it has a small section of straight tube. Aren't the hand bent ones a complete flowing curve? That one will be on one of my 400s some day in the future.

Here's some pics of the Hookers as shown on page 3 of the Honda Chopper Article.  They are about to be replaced by a set of new HM300's.  I traded the Hookers for a kickstand  ::)

My Yoshi first gen is for a CB750 and I've never owned anything for a 400, so... ah dunno.   ???  RR

The set of 4 pipe pics,
First one..dont know
Second American Motorsports***, cant remember the whole name, can see the adin my mind, think the logo was in a circle split into 3 with A, M and another letter.
Third Yoshi 2nd generation looks like.
Fourth looks a bit familiar, maybe Delta? or something like that

I sorta like the Hooker 4-2 too bad they are so far away..
Brown 500, those are Action 4s.

Since we're playing name that pipe, I'd like to know about mine too. It's similar but different from the Action Four above. And a little more beaten up. ;)
