How rare are those crazy (top right) Triple-As? I'm guessing pretty rare...but I live close to Gardena....I tried the number, it is no longer Triple A.

I had one of the first sets, bot them when i worked at a dealership in 1971, they're on the bike in my avatar. It was stolen shortly after that picture was taken in May 72. I got another used set in 1973 sold them in 1985. Never seen another set since, till someone posted a bike here not too long ago with a set on it.  Very rare IMO.

Yes, a worthy quest. They came in 5 parts, the 4 headers were individual pipes, and the collector/muffler. The true collector was like a cloverleaf accepting the 4 pipes. You had to feed all 4 pipes into the collector then offer it to the engine. Quite a trick as each pipe was flopping around on its own. There was no obvious leakage, the headers tucked into the collector about 2 inches+ each.  It had a great sound and got all the parking lot attention.

It may have been mine:

I looked high and low for another TripleAAA for my project. Back in 2000. I found these, Laser/Marshall DeepTones. The profile make the wiggly pipes look like a Triple AAA but the #1 pipes wiggle to the left instead of the right. Still they have quitea bit to look at. And they may qualify as Vintage as I'm pretty sure I got near the last set (so the US importer told me) and they are not listed in the Laser/Marshall catalog. They've been sitting on my shelf for 12 years.

While on my Triple A search I found these (will not work with a 78K, passenger peg issues I'm told)...I called them and it their last one....

Looks like quite a deal to me. I considered buying it and re-selling it on ebay, but instead I'll pass the saving on to a lucky forum member...
