Topic: A progress report as requested

never mind my head Brian, how's your lower end doing, let's have a full on progress report please.

Sorry for being so tardy Sammy.
I'm not shore this will be of interest but I owe you blokes a lot.
If it wasn't for the crew on this forum I would have had a lot more to worry about in the first three months after my accident than just trying to get back on my feet.
I will NEVER NEVER forget the effort you blokes put in for me.

As it stands right now I can walk to the bathroom under my own steam.
I couldn't wipe my own bum when they wheeled me into rehab three months ago, so as you would all appreciate I'm pretty chuffed at the moment.

This is in no way a full report but it's 11pm here at the moment and the screws ......... er sorry nurses are on my case God luv em, apparently it's past my bed time.

I will post in detail as soon as I can.

All good news mate and another reason why the fellas here are a bloody great bunch.

I was talking to one of the other guys on the board here the other day (through PM) about the GZ relay and mentioned how the relay has flowed along so well working together as a team and we don't even know each other at the personal level.
That says a bloody lot to me about kicking goals together with some respect, understanding and communication between one and other.

Keep up the good work mate.

Tied up in Melbourne for a while hey!    Your cool under pressure I must say.
So your Brian alias captain crash, I was wondering what was going on and  Ive put 2 and 2 together now and will sling you a couple emails to keep you up to date with this project. I just read your update and from what I can tell Brian you must be happy with the progress. We were chatting about Ken I'Anson and his national title last week and I'm not sure if you were aware or not but he had a similiar experience to you with similiar injuries. Lots of fusing and stainless, knocked up for a while but he is back on the bike as he says. Brian Kens advice was work on having a strong determined mind, he insisted the mind can push through the barriers and from talking to you it sounds like your on the right track.

With all that time on your hands probably feels like early retirement, some people just cant wait .   If your scheming up any projects to keep yourself motivated Brian and I can help in any way just email me or ring.
I,m thinking if your scheming about the chair I reckon at your age you should be thinking about going in a straight line on the salt. Nothing to hit but rescue truck ( thats bright red should help) and the odd Roo.

I went to a organised test / trial day by DLRA at a place called Tailem Bend today.  Got to meet a few of the bike guys and was really glad I did. My interpretation of a couple of rules were a bit wayward.  Bit like me.

So Brian, get your bum organised then the legs and you'll be ready for the next challenge.
