If I were buying a cl350 on the premise of "Original Tank and Pipes", without even a description of condition on those, I think I'd offer maybe 50 bucks.

If I were told that the tank and the pipes were in good condition (pipes not rusted out, and tank not terribly dented and not full of rust), I'd offer a hundred.

If the bike were a roller, not seized, with pipes and tank in good condition, I'd offer 175 bucks.

If it had a title, was a roller,  not seized, with pipes and tank in good condition, I'd offer 250.

But, you haven't told us a thing. So, 50 bucks.
No.

Very intelligent response, Mr. intellectual.

Maybe if you posted a thread with all the necessary info for a good evaluation, you would get one, Mr. jersey.

Common sense is not so common. I guess if it was me reading the thread with the picture, I would say I think I get his drift, I and say it's worth about x....But, as we all know some people are so smart, the have no common sense. Some of you people act like trekkies...Lighten up.  It's motorcycles, not a kinetic military action.......

Wow, for a guy with less than 50 posts, who's asking for advice, you sure have an attitude.

I think the answers and helpfulness given, based on the totally worthless initial post, is what you could've expected.

I mean, surely you understood when posting that the variables which others have mentioned would have a considerable impact on such a vague question like "what's it worth".

IMO, Steve-o's first reply was accurate and worthy of your initial post.

Mlinder's answer was perfect, as it covered for your initial mistakes.  He gave the values as you asked, and then he covered the variables which you didn't supply.

Everyone else's replies are mainly responses to YOUR smart-ass reply to Steve-o.  In other words... "well you started it"  :D

And let's look at the advice YOU'D have given.  If you had made all positive assumptions and blurted out "I say it's worth $x" but then the original poster clarified that, in fact, all the negatives were true (siezed, no title, hacked wiring, etc), then you'd have to post back and say "Oh no wait, I want to change my opinion and say it's only worth 1/4 $x.  What kind of advice would THAT be?

So, all in all, I think the responders have, indeed, shown excellent common sense.

With your initial attitude, and your follow-up "thin-skinnedness", I'm guessing that you'll probably not become a valued member of this little on-line community...  sigh.

Good luck with the bike, whichever way you go with it.

Kirk

Apparently not...

Which is why you probably shouldn't be giving advice on the worth of vintage motorcycles. The bike is worth $0.00 to maybe $500.00, which all depends on the details you so thoughtfully left out.

You clearly don't know what you are talking about.
