Topic: Two stroke part supplier

So I have my eyes set on an all stock Titan T500. Guy says it runs and has about 20k on the clock. I always had an opening for a smoker in my collection but I often wondered how does one come across maintenance parts? He's asking $1000 which I think I could talk him down. Waddaya think? Where can I get parts? Z1 enterprises carries more for KH models but nothing for other two strokers. Thanks

What kinda maintenance parts are you thinking about that are 2-stroke specific?  I mean, vintage bikes are vintage bikes - some are well-supported (like SOHC4s or CB350 twins) and some are less-supported, but it isn't really a function of them being 2-stroke or 4-stroke.

damn, it sold that day before i could even look at it. saw another smoker, GT550 for $1500. all stock and looks even better then the titan.

i only have messed with small 2 stroke engines but i know there's not much to an engine rebuild: rings, bearings, and reeds.

bearings i can usually spec and get some through a bearing supplier. rings i can usually have made if not available. before the CB750 F2 became popular, I had a manufacturer make the correct spec rings for the pistons and it only cost about $150 for all 4. it just comes down to the reeds.

suzuki seems to be the bastard of all the two stroke street bikes. not much can be had through a lot of these suppliers.

Paul Miller Motorcycles can help you with most Suzuki parts. BTW, the 2 models you mentioned don't have any reeds.
