Orders Submitted Finally!
« on: March 22, 2011, 01:04:17 AM »
Well, it's official, I have submitted the orders for everything I need to get Rita back on the road. I am sure that as soon as I get everything here and start working on getting her put back together I will have found the one thing I forgot to order, lolol. It is such a relief knowing that all that stands between me and the road is a lot fo elbow grease and some quality time with my bike. I am so looking forward to UPS getting here!!!

Also, I have paid a big chunk of my debt off and that's even more liberating. I've been watching my credit report daily watching as every few days, something else disappears from it.

More to come soon,

Peace and Long Rides,

Jeff

Good to hear that things are looking up for you Jeff. Can't wait to see Rita all gussied up with new parts ready to take you out on the road. Think you'll be ready for the rally relay?

When and where is it? I hope to have her done by the end of June but it all depends on my move to Indiana around that time.

Received the front end today, absolutely beautiful. Show chrome plated 16 inch over springer front end. Beautiful new 2 inch risers too. Going to spend an hour or so tomorrow buying some tools and trying to get it installed. If not tomorrow, I should be able to get it mounted up and on two wheels for the first time in 5 years sometime this weekend. I'll remember to get some before pics and progress pics and post them in our gallery to show the progress I am making.

I hope to have the jugs sent off next week for machining at Cycle Exchange. I also found that my carbs are frozen so I have a set I am bidding on at Ebay, cross your fingers for me. If that doesn't go through I will send my set to CycleX for rebuilding and hopefully they will have success.

More to come soon,

Peace and Long Rides,

Jeff

Well, got the first stage done today, got the neck races out only to find out the it must be a Honda neck. The bearings I ordered along with the front end are fine for the front end, but the races won't fit, too big by a hair. Ordering the Honda set tomorrow, hopefully CycleX can fast ship to me so I can get the front end mounted soon.
