I know this has many threads on it, I've dug through most of them. I still couldn't find a non-expired link to a vector image or high res scan of gauge faces anywhere (i found some that were cropped too much, not high res enough). I'm pretty sure most are the same but the gauges are off a 77 cb750f. I would greatly appreciate if someone could post up a file/image for the tach and speedo. Thanks! Arit.

p.s. After not finding any I just made my own. I have uploaded them here for the convenience of others. They are very high res so be patient-

speedo- http://www.megaupload.com/?d=LZT8SOHJ

tach- http://www.megaupload.com/?d=NMYDPT03

These are a specific design I made but they are psd files so they can be modified however you wish. I'm not 100% on the accuracy of tach and speed but I did do an overlay with images of oem gauges so they should be close. It should however be noted that I think the distance from 0-1000 rpm's may vary some between models based on what I saw in images.

p.p.s.- I accidentally uploaded the wrong tach, the previous one was wayyy off from me just copying over from the speedo.

Thanks, Excell!  What version of Photoshop did you use/save as?  Thanks again.  RR

photoshop cs3. I'm just using a trial though so if anybody needs to they could probably download and do the same so long as it doesnt take you more than 30 days to design your gauges  ???

Thanks. I'll grab the trial version. Does Pshop CS allow you to save as an earlier version?  RR

just an fyi, there are many different faces... the 750 not so much as others, but iirr there are at least 2 different tach and speedos up to 76. they look the same but the tick marks are placed slightly different. I've been working on these for a while, and anyone can feel free to pm me for something they want... i have 3 different 550's 2 different 500's 2 750's and a 350-400 (i believe) its a crap load of work to get them accurate, and the only reason i cant just give them away... is the fact that there are people on this board trying to make a buck selling face overlays... and i'd hate to undermine a fellow member

Yep, a gazillion guys are making faces.  ::)  But I want to do sets for my own speedo builds. Having a Pshop file might save me some vector work, but the bulk of the graphics has to be unique for my purposes. And it's always instructive to see how someone else has approached the indexing issue.

Thanks again, Excell.  RR

I understand trying not to undermine. Truly though I think the challenge is finding ways to print and paying for the printing of them and not in the actual design, which as I stated can be done with a free trial of photoshop and a baseline understanding of it. These are not actual vector images as well which should be noted.. they are just very high resolution so ultimately I don't think the rasterization of them will be discernible with the human eye.

I think the printing is the easy part. But I used to do that #$%* for a living. Just gotta know who to go to and what to ask for. ( I recommend abv with a 3 mil luster lam, preferably a type called street guard. Expensive as hell, but it'll last. Any reputable sign shop will know what I'm talking about) Making one set is fairly easy, but when your talking about 10 different sets, then your getting into some money ( most designers charge $100+ per hour) then if you actually do have cs5, that means you've dropped damn near $2k... I'm 100% self taught, but in my experience ( im a stationary engineer at a busy SF hotel) the greater majority of people I deal with can't even log on to a simple wireless network... Hence the demand (IMO). It's kinda like alcohol, any one can make it... But few actually will take the time to. ;)
